Trivium Packaging, the $2.7B global leader in sustainable metal packaging solutions with 60 locations worldwide, announces its Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) programming, “The Foundation For Generations: Yesterday ·Today · Tomorrow,” a celebration of the manufacturing industry, from its early days to a look ahead into its future.

The events aim to engage younger generations and educate them on the importance of manufacturing, as well as showcase all the opportunities manufacturing can offer from professional and technical jobs to operational services. The festivities will kick-off on MFG Day, October 1, 2021, with events running throughout the month of October.

Trivium Packaging’s President of the Americas, Jens Irion shares:

“Manufacturing is an essential part of all our lives. Anything we use and consume is manufactured at some stage: our homes, our cars, our food, our comforts, our electronics. We are thrilled to engage with the communities around Trivium’s facilities, by opening our doors to educate and inspire potential future employees. Manufacturing has been the backbone of society for generations, it is relevant today and will continue to be in the future.”

Five U.S. locations will participate: Bloomsburg, PA, Reno, NV, Roanoke, VA, Weirton, WV, Youngstown, OH. Activities will include plant tours, job fairs, family & children’s activities, and educational tours for local schools, colleges, and career schools.

Held annually on the first Friday in October, MFG Day helps show the reality of modern manufacturing careers by encouraging thousands of companies and educational institutions around the nation to open their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders. As manufacturers seek to fill 4 million high-skill, high-tech and high-paying jobs over the next decade, MFG Day empowers manufacturers to come together to address their collective challenges so they can help their communities and future generations thrive.
